3/1 Train to Sønderborg

This morning I am traveling west by train from Copenhagen to Sønderborg. I spent a restful night at the Copenhagen Plaza Hotel. My room was comfortable and classy and included a balcony that looked out on to the train station and the Hotel Astoria. The hotel has hosted many famous guests that appear on individual name plates in the lobby. Among them, Elvis Costello, Queen (or the Queen not sure which), and Mick Jagger. I was not asked to be added to a name plate but perhaps they do it without asking. There are many bicycles in Copenhagen, the bike lanes are wide and separated from the main road. I will reach Sønderborg by one today and Loni and Georg will meet me there. I will accompany them at workshop at the school. I am looking forward to it! Georg has invited me to eat with his family tonight, I am looking forward to getting to know him and his family. I miss my students already. We had an amazing trip over the past weekend and I hope they’ve had a chance to reflect on it. I also miss teaching with my teaching partner, Priscilla and mentee Leandra. I am sure they are doing great without me but it is hard to leave your teaching team.
